After decades of using 5C Collet Blocks, our machinists needed a solution for parts over 1 1/8 inch in diameter. When no suitable option was available, we designed our own. The CMW 16C Collet Block is user-friendly, cost-effective, and available in square or hexagonal configurations to hold up to 1 5/8 inch diameter through the collet.
Manufactured from 4140 aircraft-grade steel with a manual open/close system using a spanner wrench, the block is also available in 17-4 stainless steel for enhanced durability in challenging environments, such as EDM applications.
